Harvest is Here
Fall at The Residence carries a special beauty that feels even more meaningful when shared with you. The days are crisp, the vineyard glows in the golden light of harvest, and the firelit evenings invite conversations that bring so much joy over dinner. It is, truly, my favorite season to welcome you home to Stony Hill.
One of the highlights of the season returns, our Fourth Annual Harvest Luncheon, will take place on Saturday, October 18th. This afternoon is created with you in mind, an intimate gathering where Chef Kevin O’Connor will showcase the season’s bounty alongside single-cultivar olive oils and a thoughtful selection of our newest and most treasured wines. It is a celebration not only of the harvest, but of the community you’ve helped us cultivate here.
What inspires me most this fall is the idea of transition, watching the vines move from bloom, to veraison, to harvest, and reflecting on how each vintage carries its own unique story. In much the same way, your presence and perspective shape our story as an estate. Every visit, every shared glass, adds to the legacy we carry forward together.
We’ve cherished the moments we’ve shared with many of you over the summer, from our caviar-laden Pairing of Excellence, to our Luminary Harvest Weekend Côte Series Masterclass, to quiet tastings on the terrace. Looking ahead, autumn brings more opportunities to return—tastings surrounded by fall color, excursions in the vineyard, and drizzly afternoons spent fireside at The Residence. These experiences are made richer because of the connection we share with you.

Summer Reflections from The Residence
Summer has unfurled its full elegance here in the mountains, where the days are long, the light golden, and the vines stretch confidently toward the sky. Bloom has passed, and the first signs of veraison will soon begin to color the hillsides—a quiet, extraordinary transformation.
There is a rare kind of peace that settles over the estate this time of year. Afternoons linger under the dappled canopy of the oaks and redwoods, and tastings stretch into unhurried conversations as a breeze moves through the terraces. It’s the season when Stony Hill shows its most generous self—inviting you to slow down, savor each glass, and lose track of time in the best possible way.

Stony Hill has always been more than a winery—it’s a place where stories unfold over glasses of wine, where friendships are deepened, and where memories are made. When Fred and Eleanor McCrea first planted vines here at the tail end of WWII, Eleanor kept track by hand of our earliest supporters—Napa Valley’s very first mailing list—on 3×5 index cards. We still have them today, a beautiful reminder that Stony Hill has always been about connection.

It is such a joy to hear their stories of bringing loved ones to Stony Hill for tastings, turning a simple visit into a cherished experience.
