For our Semillon de Soleil dessert wine, we follow the Italian “passito” style. Ripe grapes are picked, then dried in the sun to concentrate the sugars before crushing. The result is a beautifully balanced sweet wine with moderate alcohol and good acidity.
The 2018 vintage has a deeply scented bouquet of marzipan, apricot, and caramel reveals a complex and intriguing wine. The long and clean finish to this vintage promises years of enjoyment alongside dessert or as an aperitif. Serve chilled and paired with a stone fruit tart or an aged blue cheese.
