1998 Stony Hill Gewurztraminer

Tasting Notes: Because of a hail storm last May when the vines were flowering, our fruit set was smaller than normal. However, the quality of this wine is superb. It is palest straw in color with a wonderfully aromatic Gewurztraminer nose. In the mouth it tastes austere yet at the same time offers powerful and rich fruit flavors. This is a wine of intense varietal character and Mike's all-time favorite Gewurztraminer.
