Our 2009 vintage revisits the lovely Cabernets made in Napa in the 1960s and 1970s, restrained in style, immanently drinkable now but with a long future before it. This is an aromatic wine with black cherry fruit, an endearing hint of green olive and evanescent whiffs of bittersweet cocoa powder on the nose. In the mouth we detect a delicate yet powerful fruit presence along with a light smokiness and notable minerality from Stony Hill's rocky soils. The tannins have rounded out and are now lush and soft and the finish lingers on and on.
Please note that due to the small production there is a limit of three bottles of Cabernet per customer.
