Dear Friends of Stony Hill:

As you may know the Napa Valley Vintners holds an auction each year called "Auction Napa Valley" to raise money for local charities.  Over the past 27 years the NVV has raised more than $78 million that has been given back to the community to fund health care and youth programs.

Three years ago the NVV added a new feature to the Auction Napa Valley called the "e-Auction" where you can bid on special lots over the internet during the two weeks before the auction.

This year Stony Hill has a great lot in the e-Auction, an overnight stay for four people at Stony Hill featuring a special dinner prepared by Peter and Willinda McCrea and Mike and Kathy Chelini to be accompanied by great wines from our cellar.  The full lot description is listed below.

We have also provided a link to the e-Auction website so you can look at all the other great lots that are available.  Remember, all the proceeds go to local charities here in the Napa Valley.

We are really hoping that one of our long time customers will be the successful bidder on our lot.

If you would like to explore the artistry of Chablis-like California Chardonnays at a lovely old hillside wine estate in the Napa Valley, here is an invitation for you...

Proprietors Peter and Willinda McCrea and winemaker Mike Chelini and his wife, Kathy, invite two couples for dinner and an overnight stay at Stony Hill Vineyard on a mutually agreeable date during the summer of 2008. They will prepare a delectable meal for you fresh from the garden and from local meat and cheese purveyors. And to round out your evening, Peter and Mike will choose a special selection of fruity, non-oaky, non-malolactic wines from the Stony Hill cellar. Yes, Stony Hill is famous for ageworthy Chardonnays, but it also produces White Rieslings and Gewurztraminers, plus several reds and rosés never sold to the public.

As a take-home gift, each couple will receive three 1.5L etched bottles of 1998 Stony Hill Chardonnay and six 750ml bottles of 2004 Stony Hill Chardonnay.
